Remember me?
It just hit me this morning that I haven’t published a Letter from Emery since February.
When I say “hit me”, I mean it genuinely slapped me from my sleep sometime around 4:40am.
I could make up a bunch of crap about why…
The truth is I just wandered off my path for a little too long, and I think God’s calling me back.
I’ve felt this pull before...
Anyway, I’m back at my desk now for no less than 20 minutes every morning, so… let’s see what happens!
I’m genuinely excited to be back, I hope to bring a little light to whoever might still read these letters.
My prayer as I send this is that you’re genuinely well and finding peace in whatever season you find yourself in.
Everything’s going to be ok.
Good to be back, friend.
-Emery
P.S. A wee musing from a flight I took recently:
Love
Is the most foreign
Yet most familiar
Thing to us all.
No one can explain it in words,
Not truly.
Yet everyone knows what it is…
We know the magic it is to have it,
The sadness it is to lack it.
We know, not how nor why,
That it is simply fundamental to our existence.
It is gravity, free from its laws.
Oxygen, free from its chemistry.
Such a wonderful puzzle, this riddle of love.
May it flood your life
Enough for you to flood someone else’s.
Long
Live
Love.
-Emery
